Daniel Thaxton Document Security Expert
Dan Thaxton is a nationally recognized expert on document security and fraud with over 20 years of experience, and numerous patents to his credit.
He is a member of board directors for the Document Security Alliance (DSA), a voluntary organization of industry leaders and government agencies, which is focused on improving government document security. He is involved in developing national security standards for birth certificates. He led the team that recommended security improvements for the next generation of the Social Security card. He has also provided guidance to Congress on legislation for temporary work permits and employee verification.
Dan has authored and contributed to numerous white papers and reports, including the DSA’s 2009 “Report to the Nation” on U.S. document security and in 2007, he offered guidance to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on “Defining a Tamper-Resistant Prescription.”
